A large multi-use outdoor living area extends beyond the living room and creates an enormous sense of space to the home. The outdoor area can be accessed via beautiful antique style French doors and is protected from the weather by utilizing a fully automated louvre style roof that can be opened and closed as require.
The clients wanted their master bedroom to be an area they could close off and be almost self-contained. Through the design process we were able to create a refined and elegant top floor that can be shut off from the rest of the house if necessary. A stunning cantilevered timber staircase with wrought iron balustrade leads up to the enormous master suite which includes a private bar upon entry, a private sitting/living area for the occupants and a huge private balcony with direct views to the beautiful beaches of Dunsborough. The pitched ceiling and painted timber beams give the room immense space and compliment the painted timber lining that covers both the master suite ceiling and downstairs living room. The room opens to a dedicated three-room combined walk in robe/bathroom and individual shower room.
This home exemplifies how crisp, clean lines paired with a range of textures and finishes can create an amazing home. The combination of stone, timber, tile and glass work to accentuate the design of the home. It is always a challenge to build on a block with a narrow frontage but high ceilings and large open areas and rooms have been used to full effect to create a feeling of space and modern elegance
